The Nintendo Revolution

The new Nintendo Revolution is revealed in E3, which stands for Electronic Entertainment Expo. The Nintendo Revolution is indeed a very small device, and yet more powerful than the Gamecube. Nintendo Stated that the Revolution is around 3 times more powerful than the Gamecube, which is indeed a very nice feature. The Nintendo revolution has a slot-loading drive used to insert both DVD media used as games and Gamecube optical discs. Yes, it is backward-compatible with gamecube. In fact, it is backward-compatible with all Nintendo consoles if you think about it, because Nintendo has announced that they will be releasing a download service in which you will be able to download old games from the NES to the Nintendo 64. The Nintendo revolution will use Wireless controllers only, which are yet to be revealed. The Revolution will also have a docking station for specific use with the Gamecube, as it is seen in one of the pictures below. You will be able to connect 4 Gamecube joysticks along with 2 Gamecube memory cards. The revolution will use 512 MB memory cards as means of storage. These cards are located in the lower flap under the slot loading drive. Also, Nintendo has planned for revolution to go online wirelessly, and to connect to the Nintendo DS just like how the Gamecube was able to connect to the Gameboy Advance. The name "Revolution" is not yet confirmed. The Nintendo Revolution is planned to release next year, when the Sony PS3 is also released.

It is not yet known what the whole Revolution Idea of Nintendo actually is, but many people hint that the revolution is actually in the controller. All we can say now, is that time shall tell everything...
